BMW Smooth Grain Leather is a cow hide leather for automotive use. Smooth grain leather does have a texture to it, it is not nappa. Commonly used in cars from 1985-2002.
Leather is sold by the hide and the half hide. Hides average between 40-50 square feet per a hide.
Please note that approximately 17 square feet is about equal to 1 yard of vinyl (36"x54")
